3 City Buildings Receive 2020 NAFA Clean Air Awards

City Hall, EA Rawlinson Centre for the Arts and the Alfred Jenkins Field House Receive 2020 NAFA Clean Air Award

Prince Albert, Sk. – The National Air Filtration Association has announced Prince AlbertCity Hall, The E.A. Rawlinson Centre for the Arts,  and the Alfred Jenkins Field House have all received NAFA Clean Air Award for 2020. The award recognizes maintaining a clean and healthy indoor environment, while reducing operating costs.

To receive a Clean Air Award, a facility must be nominated, assisted and supported through the process. BGE Indoor Air Quality Solutions provided the guidance to achieve the award, including training for 5 City maintenance personnel through NCT training.

The Alfred Jenkins Field House received the award in 2019 and this is the first time that the EA Rawlinson Centre and City Hall have been recognized.

“The NAFA Clean Air Award gives members of the general public and our facility user’s confidence they are breathing the cleanest air possible when they are in these buildings,” said Neil Hamilton, City of Prince Albert Maintenance Coordinator. “Especially in our current times battling a pandemic, it is comforting to know the air in these buildings is as clean as you would find in a hospital setting.”

The award program promotes and recognizes the use of high efficiency filtration products and good maintenance practices. Of the 48 NAFA Clean Air Awards presented in 2020, 16 were to buildings in Canada..
