The City of Prince Albert requires dog and cat owners to have their pet licensed each year in order to meet the rules of our Responsible Pet Ownership Bylaw. A license also serves as another form of identification for your pet.
If your pet has a licensed tag and is lost and found by Animal Control Services, the Prince Albert SPCA will reunite you with your pet.
If your pet ends up in the City Pound, a free ride home may be available if your pet is:
- Wearing a valid Prince Albert City Tag
- Spayed or Neutered
- Not causing problems while loose
- Not a repeat visitor to the pound
