Condominium conversions are buildings that are converted to a condominium ownership plan. Condominium conversions are regulated under the Government of Saskatchewan's Condominium Property Act.
In accordance with The City of Prince Albert's condo conversion policy (under the
Economic Development and Planning section of the
Policies page), all applications must be approved by City Council. An application form must be submitted to the Department of Economic Development and Planning along with the required fee (See
Condominium Conversion on the
Fee Schedule page).
A public hearing will be held, and written notice must be delivered to all tenants 30 days prior to the hearing. Click to see the
Condominium Conversion Flowchart which provides a step-by-step guide through the process of applying for a condominium conversion..
Applicants are encouraged to contact the Department for details about the policy and procedure. Applicants may download a copy of the
condominium conversion application or contact the Department to obtain a copy.
