Corporate Records and Memory

Through The Cities Act, the City Clerk & Director of Legislative Services is responsible for ensuring that all records and documents of the City are kept safe. This includes Bylaws, Minutes, Agreements and other files and documents that make up the “corporate records”. A register of both the Bylaws and Agreements are also maintained as a reference tool. Copies of Bylaws, approved Minutes and Agreements are made available to members of Council, the general public or Administration who may have queries.

Beyond this requirement and the paper and/or electronic documents lies the invaluable “corporate memory” that the City Clerk & Director of Legislative Services provides to Council and the Administration on an ongoing basis.

ForeMost Electronic File Management System

The ForeMost Electronic File Management System was implemented in the City Clerk & Director of Legislatives Services Office in March of 2001, culminating two (2) years of planning for this significant project. This system provides our electronic and non-electronic corporate records with security and retrieval capabilities, which are necessary in today’s business environment.
