South Hill Cemetery is a landscaped, well-maintained site that is owned and operated by the City of Prince Albert. Sections of the cemetery have been designated to accommodate different religious traditions and customs, including:
- Roman Catholic
- Ukrainian Greek Orthodox
- Ukrainian Greek Catholic
- Hebrew
- Protestant
- Non-denominational
South Hill Cemetery also has designated sections for:
- Children
- Stillborn/Infant
- Cremations
- Flat Marker
- Field of Honor (Veterans’ Section)

The South Hill Cemetery provides burial choices for traditional interments and cremated remains as well as special arrangements for fiberglass, concrete or steel vaults, wooden rough boxes and deepening beyond 2 meters in depth.
Interment Conditions:
- The cemetery requires a Next of Kin form (see link below) as well as a copy of the certificate of death or cremation.
- Summer rates are from May 1st to October 31st and winter rates are from November 1st to April 30th. The rates are set in the Cemetery Bylaw which can be found on the Bylaws page.
- 48 hours notice (16 business hours) is required for winter interments.
- 24 hours notice (8 business hours) is required for summer interments.
- Interments without the proper notification will be charged a Short Notice Fee.
- Overtime will be charged on interments that take place after regular working hours or that require staff to stay later then 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.
- For interments on Saturdays there will be a Saturday fee charged in addition to the normal interment charges.
- On Sundays, statuatory holidays and civic and union holidays there will be a charge equivalent to three times the Saturday fee.
- The license fee for a plot in the Field of Honour includes the cost of the marker, monument permit and installation with GST only being charged on the interment fee.
- There is no license fee for indigent plots and burials are only charged an interment fee without GST as long as the costs are being paid by the Ministry of Social Services.
- No more than one casket shall be buried in one grave unless the grave has been deepened (beyond 2m in depth).
- A maximum of four interments may be made in a plot, with the exception of the Children’s Section where only three burials are allowed.
- Two traditional burials plus two cremated remains in a deepened plot, or
- One traditional burial plus three cremated remains, or
- Four cremated remains.

General Conditions:
- A license for a plot in the Hebrew Section will only be granted to persons of the Hebrew Community.
- A license for a plot in the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Section will only be granted to members of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Parish of St. Georges Church and to the family members of said members.
- No grave covers are allowed.
- No child under the age of twelve will be admitted to the cemetery unless accompanied by an adult.
- Vehicles in the cemetery shall keep to the driveways provided and not travel at a speed greater than 20 km/hr.
