Media Releases
Through the Communications Office, the City issues media releases regarding a number of City events and services.  This includes upcoming notices on road closures, free landfill weeks, snow removal and street sweeping schedules, decisions of Council, etc. Sign up to receive media releases from the City.

Public Notices
The City issues legally-required public notices for matters relating to rezoning or bylaw changes.  For example, if City Council is being asked to rezone a piece of land to park space, public notice is required so that interested members of the public can submit correspondence for Council's consideration.  Another example would be raising fines for parking tickets.  Since the amount charged is approved in a bylaw, City Council would need to approve a bylaw amendment to make the change.  In this case, a public notice would be required so that interested members of the public can speak to Council.
