Message from Mayor Jim Scarrow

Welcome to Saskatchewan's Beautiful Gateway City!
As Saskatchewan's third largest city, Prince Albert continues to prosper as a growing, vibrant market influenced by tourism, mining, health care and agriculture. Prince Albert provides opportunities for business and industry as well as investors and entrepreneurs. Residential and commercial construction has continued its high level of growth along with expansion and improvements to existing commercial establishments throughout the city. Prince Albert was named one of Canada's Top Ten Entrepreneurial Cities by the Canadian Federation of Independent Business.
Prince Albert is situated in a park-like setting with forests, lakes, rivers and streams within its immediate area and a thousand or more lakes to the east, west and north. Recreational activities, including sports and cultural events, remain a strong part of Prince Albert. Our education and recreation facilities are second to none, and Prince Albert continues to be an active, vibrant and attractive community. It is an ideal place to live and raise a family.
City Council is made up of forward thinking, positive and respectful individuals who are committed to economic and social progress and who bring their life experiences to build the kind of city that provides for everyone. Our agenda is based on progress and opportunity, solving the immediate while building a path to the future, creating confidence, welcoming enterprise and accepting social and environmental responsibility for those generations who will follow.
On behalf of my colleagues on City Council, I would encourage you to visit our city. Prince Albert is truly a wonderful place to visit and enjoy. Come for a day and stay a lifetime. Beautiful Prince Albert, Saskatchewan's Gateway City, will always welcome you.
Mayor Jim Scarrow
