Mair Park contains Peace Grove, one of over 250 Peace parks dedicated across Canada on October 9, 1992 at 12:30 p.m. as part of the Canada 125 Peace Parks Across Canada Program. the grove was established to enhance public awareness about the historical role of Canadian Peacekeepers and Canada's commitment to world peace. The grove contains twelve spruce trees which, at the time, represented our provinces and territories.
These two areas contain three baseball diamonds which are operated by the P.A. Minor Baseball Association. The minor baseball diamond at Dents Park is a lighted, completely fenced facility which includes a concession, washrooms, storage area and large bleacher area. The two ball diamonds at Mair Park are completely fenced areas with washrooms and concession which serve both diamonds. For futher information contact Bob Kutzan.
